I bought a rooster used on RCCrawler. It works, but it glitches some at real low throttle and doesn't support 3s lipo cutoff. And the drag brake is alright its better than nothing but theres lots of room for improovement. If I did it again I would get a Goat 3s.
He finally learned a hot towel isnt 3rd base? :looser:
I was more thinkin along the lines of just driving experience on these crawlers. See how other rigs do and what parts combos they run, what lines work better.
This "sport" if thats what you call it, is only fun when your learning. Just...
I got from this monday till new years off work. I will be doing quite a few things around the house, but I was curious if anyone in the area wanted to maybe get together and compare/teach me a thing or 2.

This is after all the internet, where ANYTHING is possible!

I find it VERY hard to believe you pulled 21.5 towing... Maybe if you went up a mountain and coasted back down and then filled up. But those numbers are WAYYY outside the normal range of any 6bt that tows.
My best towing is 16.7mpg towing my dakota on a 7k trailer @ 70mph with 3.55s and 33" ish tires.
2001' 24v Dually 47re trans
100hp injectors, AFE intake, 4" exhaust, HX35 with a boost elbow, Edge EZ chip
Empty I can hit the 20s (these #s are hand calculated btw)
I am running RC4WD's Mayhem servo @ 220oz on 6v. It was cheap too! Metal gear, ball bearings. Its not 600oz hitec but it works very well. Make sure you buy an aluminum servo horn too. (mayhem servo uses the stock ax10 "futaba" style shaft) so anything that fits stock ax10 or losi will work.
Yeah I read a ton on the BR-XL on rccrawler, Holmes says his ESC is able to link via CL... But then your looking at a 130$ ESC minus a motor when u can get the rooster & 55T for 109$ plus shipping. I like the tuning ability though so that with the smooth response comments makes me want to try it...
