Working on the tow rig!!!
<HR style="COLOR: #1b1b1b" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->So today I started working on the tow rig to get it ready for the 4th Of July wheeling trip....Pulled the turbo off and put a new piston kit in the Exhaust back pressure valve actuator..To cure a oil leak....and then while the turbo was out swapped in a Wicked Wheel 2...For a little bit more power and from what the people that have put these in I will also get some reduction in EGT...Which I will love that!!!!..The only thing aboot it Today was got the turbo off and all back together ready to install...And started putting it in when mother nature desided to dump about 2" of rain in about a half hour!!!Was funny seeing a river running down the drive way at Phil's shop!!!When it started I was under the truck looking for a lost bolt!!!So It will get finished tomorrow!!!Cant wait to see how it runs!!!
Woops how did that picture of Crown get in there!!!!

what other upgrades do you have to your truck. i have been thinking about putting a new wheel in mine also an wanted to know if its worth it. an just wondering why you didnt go with the new wheel they came out with o cant remeber the name of it but its supost to be better than the ww2
I just picked this up 2 weeks ago...iv been looking for a few weeks now....
its a 1996 7.3 5 speed
with a intercooler banks chip, gauges , 3 1/2 downpipe...and I cut the muffler off
air bags with controller and gauge in the cab.
fifthwheel hitch /camper tie downs
super clean inside ....few rock chips and some small dings...
I paid 8k for it and had to drive to bend OR to get it...
im pretty happy....I have some things I want to do .....I already pulled the running boards and canopy off ...so I lost the grampa look
Nicest rig (or anything for that matter :haha I've had. But it's also the last truck I should have to buy, and it's my reward for working my ass off the last 3 years to get completely out of debt. I was actually looking to get into either a 97 or 99 (I like the looks better of the obs, but the 99 and ups are easier to work on.) extended cab 7.3 manual, but finding a decent manual was pretty tough. Luckily for me though, my boss had this truck and rarely used it, so I ended up getting it for 25k with 70k miles. It also came with an sct for tunes and an edge for monitoring.Dang, that's quite the step up in tow rigs Derek! That won't even know the Zuk is hooked up to it.
